The Member representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency two in the House of Representatives, Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo has celebrated His Excellency, Dr. Kayode Fayemi (JKF), a former Governor of Ekiti State and Minister of Mines and Steel Development, on the occasion of his 61st birthday.
The Federal Lawmaker described the visionary leadership of Dr. Fayemi from 2010 – 2022, as a Governor, Minister and Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum(NGF) as a template, which helps the State and country to develop in all spheres.
Akinlayo’s Statement also acknowledged the role of the former Governor in ensuring that peace is instituted in all sectors and aspects of governance, which has been upheld by the Oyebanji’s administration.
He appreciated the former Governor for his continuous support towards Ekiti project even after he left office.
Hon. Akinlayo said this attribute is needed for State building and is a true spirit of a Stateman.
”We have watched our former Governor display a Stateman’s spirit by the continuous support towards Ekiti development agenda through his fatherly guidance and advice even after he left office as the Chief Security Officer of the State.
“The peaceful ambience in Ekiti State was instituted during Governor Fayemi’s tenure and that has been sustained by the present administration of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), because, without peace, development cannot thrive in a place.”

He wished the former Governor good health and prosperous life, while he still gives wise counsel for the advancement of Ekiti State.
