The lawmaker representing the people of Moba constituency 1 in the Ekiti State State House of Assembly, Honourable Abimbola Solanke has congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the 29-day holy fasting period.
In a statement made available to Journalist on Thursday, Honourable Solanke expressed gratitude to God for granting strength to every Muslim in the constituency to observe the fasting and other supplications throughout the holy month,
According to the lawmaker, the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan include experiencing the sufferings of the downtrodden, with the aim of understanding how to care for them and alleviate their poverty.
While identifying the act of giving to the needy as a vital lesson imparted by the month to every Muslim, Honorable Solanke urged wealthy individuals to continue their philanthropic gestures towards the less privileged, not only during Ramadan but also beyond the holy month.
Solanke prayed to God to accept all the activities of every Muslim throughout the holy month as acts of Ibadah.
The Chairman, House committee on Health and human services also prayed for God to answer the prayers of all Muslims as a reward for their sincerity in worshipping Almighty Allah according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad(SAW).
She wished all Muslims good health so that they may witness many more Ramadans and perform the necessary supplications for greater rewards, not only on earth but also in the hereafter.
