All APC Women Stakeholders in Ikere Ekiti comprising WOMEN LEADERS, APPOINTEES AND WOMEN IN POLITICS have passed a Vote of Confidence on the Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Chief Christianah Monisade Afuye for her continued stay in office till 2030, alongside her boss, Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
At a Joint Press Conference held in Ikere-Ekit, Dr Olufunke Fajobi-Commissioner, Human Resources Management in the State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB), Mrs Kikelomo Babalola -Ikere LG Women Leader, Mrs Beatrice Okondo -Representatives of Elders, Board Member, Mrs Rufus Ige and Mrs Adamolekun – Wives of Ikere West LCDA and Ikere local Government Chairmen, Mrs Rhoda Ojo – Chairman Teaching Service Commission(TESCOM) and Mrs Dolamu Adeniyi said all Women resident in the town are solidly behind the Deputy Governor for another term.
They noted that they would not fold their hands and allow masked sect of people and marauders spoil the chance of Ikere this time around, and cautioned them against any further step
They described Okinlua Monisade Afuye as tested ad trusted, competent, loyal, reliable, dependable Deputy Governor who has been supporting his Boss, Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the strategic move to bring development to all communities of the state.
The Ikere APC Women Stakeholders also vowed to resist neophyte in the 2026 Gubernatorial race into such a sensitive position which Chief Afuye had been steering seamlessly and successfully for the past 3 and a half years without any rancor.
According to them ‘’we have tested H.E Okinlua Monisade Afuye and found her as a worthy Deputy Governor. She has done extremely well considering her attributes and the tasks She supervises and we can assure all Ekiti citizens that our own Afuye will perform far better till 2030 as God lives.’’.
They assured Ekiti people that the Deputy Governor will continue to serve his boss and leader, BAO more inclusively and beneficially.

They also saluted leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) across the state for standing firm with their leader, Okinlua Monisade Afuye urging them to continue in their spirit of camaraderie.
