The lawmaker representing Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje and Moba of Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2 in the House of Representatives, Abuja, Honourable Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo has expressed his stands with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s candidature as the Flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress(APC) as the Primary Election holds today.
Akinlayo who spoke with Journalists on Monday night in Ado Ekiti said delegates of the party from all council areas under his constituency are fully backing Governor Oyebanji.
He several meeting had been held with delegates under his federal constituency and they have given the assurance to remain with the Governor as the consensus candidate and as well work for his victory in June 20, 2026 Gubernatorial election.
”Oyebanji is our Sole Candidate and what we are doing this Monday is actually to affirm him, we don’t have any other candidate. The second aspirant jostling with the Governor had withdrawn from the race, so we now have a smooth exercise.” Akinlayo stated
” And as regard our preparation, we have mobilized our people across the 32 wards in Ekiti North federal constituency 2 and we are fully ready for the return of the Governor till year 2030.”
Having done tremendously well in the Constituency, Honourable Akinlayo boasted that his achievements which synchronizes with that of Governor will pave the way for him in the next year Guber poll.
