A special grassroot platform called “BAO Street Connect” has been formally unveiled as part of strategic mechanisms to bridge the gap between government and community people in Ekiti State, Nigeria.
At the offical launch of the platform held at Okesa market square in Ado, the State Capital, the Director General, Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotoso accompanied by some Special Advisers said BAO STREET CONNECT would facilitate effective link between home people and titls towards bringing everyone on board in keeping abreast of the impacts of Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji in all sectors of the state.
Expatiating what “BAO Streets Connect” stands for, the Director General, CC, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotoso said that platform was a further step taken to enable Ekiti residents have direct link and sense of belongings in the runnings of government.
Saying the welfare of the people tops the agenda of the Governor, She informed that lots have been done for the people across various sectors of the state with more in stocks, calling on people to take advantage of the BAO STREET CONNECT to better their lives and communities.
She further explained that the meeting would be held onsite and virtual on a monthly basis with ideas welcomed across board.
Those at the forum who included, market traders, Artisans, members of the transport unions and broadcasters lauded the initiatives and promised to propagate the needs across nooks and crannies of the state.
In the meantime, livestock farmers, representatives in Isinbode-Ekiti and suburbs farmsteads have benefitted from the Palliatives of Governor Biodun Oyebanji with the distribution of 100 bags of maize and cash to support them towards ensuring food security.
Mrs Omotosho reminded the people of the impacts of Governor Oyebanji in tandem with his shared prosperity vision, called for their support to engender more development in the area.
Beneficiaries of the largesse thanked the Governor for the gesture.
