Ekiti State Government says it’s creating a society where people resident in Ekiti irrespective of age, ethnic and political coloration succeed.
This reassurance came to the fore at the State House in Ado Ekiti, the State Capital as another set of individuals across the various local councils of Ekiti State got the latest financial and technical supports from the personal purse of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
The latest edition of Mr Governor’s monthly largesse which makes it a year that the initiatve began, attended to benefitting students on payment of tuition fees with cheques worth between 150,000 to 250,000 naira given to them.
Those who applied for business start ups and upgrades got a disbursement between 150,000 to 300,000 naira cheques, while working tools ranging from industrial sew machines, grinding machines, deep freezers and different hair dressing tools amongst others were given to the skilled labourers.
The Senior Special Assistant, Governor’s Office, Mrs Sola Abe said that the forum maked it a year that the initiative began with a view to eradicating poverty in the land.
Mrs Abe said that Governor Oyebanji’s magnanimity symbolizes hope for the common man and urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds. She also called on those who had requested the support from the Governor to keep faith as it would get to their turns.
The Commissioner for Information, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun, Director General Community Communications, Mary Oso-Omotoso who were also at the forum emphasized that Governor Oyebanji is for everyone irrespective of party differences.
Beneficiaries among whom were Mrs Rotimi Olayinka, Mrs Ajayi Bolaji, Folasade Ogunmoroti and Precious Ogunware thanked Governor Oyebanji for extending his government deliverables to them.
Also, Odunayo Obafemi, Adeola Ajayi and Lassis Fatai who had benefited from the initiative were also at the program to attest to Governor Oyebanji’s support through the initiative.
