The Olukere of Ikere, Odo-Oja, Ikere Ekiti, Oba Abdulganiyu Ayodele Obasoyin (Okomolese II) has felicitated Muslims in Ikere, Ekiti State, Nigeria and by extension the world over, on the important occasion of the Eid -El-Kabir festivities.
Oba Obasoyin stated that, EID-EL-KABIR is very significant in the life of every Muslim due to the virtues and value it conveys and urged them to imbibe the lessons of the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim and work for peace progress and development and peace of the nation.
In his goodwill message, the Monarch, urged the Muslims to live a life of piety towards Almighty Allah and service to humanity, advising that, the Sallah celebrations must be done with moderation.
The Olukere appreciated the peaceful coexistence and tolerance of all faiths in the town which according to him has brought orderliness and development to the land.
Oba Obasoyin said. “As we celebrate this year Eid-Kabir, I join Muslim faithful across the country to share in the felicity of this Ileya Festival. The Eid-el-Adha comes with significant lessons for mankind. It is a symbolic of Islamic festival that is a constant reminder to us that, there will always be great rewards when we have long-lasting faith and perseverance in trying periods; diligence in prayers and tenacity in our belief.
Olukere felicitated with Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his cabinet members on his various policies and programmes as enshrined in his shared prosperity vision which tilts socio economic and human capital development.
He also send Sallah greetings to all traditional rulers in Ekiti State and prayed Allah for their peaceful reigns.
