Barely few days to Christmas Celebration, the *Technical Advisor to the Governor of Ekiti State on Employment, Mr Rotimi Faleye has presented cash gifts worth about a Million naira to hundreds of members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) across all the 13 Wards in Ado Ekiti, the State Capital.
Mr Faleye popularly known as ”Oko Arugbo” said move was a show of love for the people in tandem with the spirit of Christmas season and to thank them for their support for Governor Oyebanji thus far.
The Ado Ekiti born Technical Advisor to the Governor on Employment who was accompanied by some party excos including the SA Strategic and Engagement, Barrister Olu Aluko and SA to the Governor, Hon. Ibrahim Olalekan Lanre moved round the 13 wards of Ado Ekiti beginning from his ward, ward 5, Odo Otu to present cash gifts to needy beneficiaries.
He reminded the people of his journey in politics from the days of the Alliance for Democracy(AD) which upgraded to the All Progressives Congress, saying it has been longing as a progressive to impact meaningfully on lives especially the needy among party folk.
He thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji for the appointment given him as a Technical Advisor on Employment, noting that the empowerment was part of the savings realized from his salary in the last one year, while thanking the former Nigeria Ambassador to Republic of Hungary and Kingdom of Netherlands, Dr Eniola Ajayi for believing in him. He delivered Dr Eniola Ajayi contribution message to members in each of the wards in Ado Ekiti during the tour.
Mr Faleye while addressing party members x-rayed the laudable achievements of the Governor cutting across all sectors to include, construction of inter and intra township roads, school and hospital renovations, free surgical mission, reconnection of many communities back to the national grid, empowerment of market traders and artisans, prompt payment of workers salaries, pensions and gratuities and the latest news in town which is the implementation of the new minimum wage which cut across board, we the political appointees are beneficiaries.
Describing Governor Oyebanji as a silent achiever, the TA Employment sought the total loyalty of members to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
He also charged them to stand firm for the continuity of the present administration till year 2030.
Responding, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 5, Mr Lateef Salami, that of Ward 1, Mr Kayode Oladimeji, Vice Chairman, Ward 2, Mr Olaniyi Ojo, Chairman of Ward 4, Mr Tajudeen Babalola, Commissioner for Environment, Chief Tosin Aluko. Others were the APC, Vice Chairman in Ado Ekiti, Mr Isaiah Ojo, Chairperson of Ward 9, Mrs Falilat Akorede and the Councilor of the ward, Mr Hon Idowu Oba and past political office holders described Mr Faleye as a grassroot and loyal party stalwart who give back to party members not only during the festive period but on a routine basis.
A cross section of the beneficiaries across the 13 wards, who included Madam Florence Adeniyi, Mrs Kikelomo Adedipe thanked Mr Faleye for the show of love in this Christmas Season and prayed for his success.
The APC members commended Governor Oyebanji for his lofty initiatives and assured their unflinching support for his administration in the state.
