The Olukere of Ikere, Odo-Oja, Ikere local government, HRM Oba Abdulganiyu Ayodele Obasoyin has extended felicitations to all sons and daughters of Ikere community, Ekiti State and Nigeria by extension, over the successful completion of 2024 and peaceful commencement of year 2025.
Oba Obasoyin in a statement personally signed by him, dwelt his new year’s message on assurance that 2025 would herald desired peace, harmony and prosperity among citizens of Ikere kingdom.
According to him, “as we crossed over to 2025, I wish to celebrate with good people of Ikere local government on the occasion of New year celebrations”.
“May the New year herald desired peace, harmony and prosperity in the local government. I urge us to continue to promote peaceful coexistence amongst ourselves irrespective of political or religious beliefs”. Olukere declares
Olukere who x-rayed the human capital development achievements recorded in the outgone year eulogized Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for his welfaristic approach to traditional rulers and ackowledging their roles as custodians of culture and tradition of their respective communities.
He also commended the Governor on his road revolution strategy geared towards actualizing road infrastructure upgrade and prosperity agenda of his administration. This according to him had been extended to Ikere community with the ongoing reconstruction of Ikere/Ilawe road, Ikere/Igbara-Odo Ekiti road, Ikere/Ise/Emure road, while Odo-Oja-Moshood/off Ikere council secretariat township road was not left behind.
Olukere said, ”BAO is walking the talk, it is evident across board. We expect more in this new year with our people to be more engage in other critical sectors in tune with his shared prosperity vision. We love him and support the continuity of his administration till year 2030.”
The traditional ruler applauded the unwavering financial support of President Bola Tinubu for Ekiti State which he said has enabled Governor Oyebanji to upgrade massive infrastructure across the state and extending dividends of democracy to citizenry.
“As we celebrate during the New year, we need to sustain moderacy, decorum, vigilance and be law abiding. Wishing u all a peaceful and prosperous 2025”, the monarch prayed.
