With less than 365 days to Ekiti Gubernatorial election, leaders and members of Association of Professional Wedding and Engagement Coordinators of Nigeria(APWECON), (popularly called (Alaga Iduro/Ijoko) Ikere Ekiti Chapter have unanimously endorsed Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his Deputy, Chief Monisade Afuye for the second term in office.
The carnival like event with a powerful display of solidarity was witnessed by BAO frontiers both from the state and local levels, among whom were the Chairman BAO/MCA Endorsement Committee and a former Ekiti Deputy Governor, Mr Abiodun Aluko, Director General , Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotoso, Commissioner for Special Duties, Otunba Adeniyi Dolamu amongst others
In her remarks, the Chairman of APWECON in Ikere Ekiti, Mrs Dupe Aruleba said Governor Oyebanji deserves another term in office considering his performance across various sectors which had culminated in socio-economic and Infrastructural development enjoyed across various communities of the state.
Mrs Aruleba who described the essentiality of members of APWECON at ceremonial functions, said they remain firm for the Governor and will work assiduously for his victory in June 20, 2026 Ekiti Guber poll.
The Director General, Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotoso said that Governor Oyebanji has been walking the talk since his assumption of office with all communities touched under the Shared Prosperity Mantra.
Mrs Omotoso thanked members of APWECON, Ikere Ekiti Chapter for their show of support for Governor Oyebanji and solicited for more in order to enable him to deliver the necessary dividends of democracy to the electorate.
She also called on all interest groups and associations to continue to propagate the gospel of BAO/MCAto enjoy more deliverables as encapsulated under the Oyebanji’s transformative drive.
The Commissioner for Special Duties, Otunba Adeniyi Dolamu represented by one of the Governor’s Special Assistants, Honorable Adebowale Ajakaye urged them to continue to preach the gospel of BAO across the nooks and crannies of the state.
He also urged them to ensure that their voters cards are ready ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election while calling on those that had relocated nor lost their permanent voters card to resolve their concerns with INEC to enable them exercise their rights when it’s time.
Similarly, the Chairman of Ikere West LCDA, Mr Olorunfemi said Ekiti State is fortunate to have someone like Oyebanji and Afuye at the helms of affairs, saying the excellent performance of the Governor fetched him many accolades like Mr Projects, Mr solutions, Governor
The Council Boss while thanking Mr Governor for extending his magnanimity to Ikere with about 77 political appointments made by his administration, said projects like Ikere/ Ilawe road, Ikere/Igbara-Odo road, Ikere/Ise road, Odo-Oja/Moshood/Ikere Council Secretariat, Ikere/Akure road, empowerment initiative, accessible and affordable health care service, education development are testaments to the BAO Prosperity Mantra.
The peak of the event was when one of the Gagers, Mrs Owoyemi moved a motion and was unanimously seconded by the whole members
Earlier, the Chairman, BAO Endorsemet Committee and Former Ekiti Deputy Governor, Mr Abiodun Aluko commended the Ikere Ekiti chapter of APWECON for joining the league of BAO endorsers noting that the door is still wide opened for more groups and Associations to align with the progressing train.
The Commissioner in charge of Human Resources Management at the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB), Dr Olufunke Fajobi, the Majeobaje of Ekiti State APWECON, who was one of the facilitators of the endorsement programme in an interview witH Journalists said Governor Oyebanji has made tremendous impacts towards the socio-economic development of the state and called on Ekiti people to continue to support the BAO/MCA continuity.
