As Nigerians commemorate the 65th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria today, the Member representing Moba/Ido/Ilejemeje Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo has congratulated his constituents and Nigerians in general on the auspicious celebration.
The lawmaker in his congratulatory message made available to newsmen said in spite of the challenges the nation is facing, there is hope for a better tomorrow.
According to him, “In spite of challenges, there were many landmarks in the nation’s 65 years to give a sense of optimism for a better tomorrow. Each country has its own unique path with unique challenges it must pass through.”
Akinlayo said that he was confident that Nigeria was on the correct pathway to rediscovery. “As we reminiscence on our 65 years as a country, it is tempting to allow present economic and security considerations becloud the triumphs of our nationhood.
He charged citizens to embrace unity for the nation to witness the desired growth and development.
“Nigeria is on a journey to greatness, with Hope, strength and unity, we will achieve this someday.
As a country with multiple ethnicities, unity of purpose remains the only route to achieving the desired growth and development which will lead to economic stability.
The federal lawmaker called on Nigerians to remain resolute and hopeful of a better Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
I therefore use the auspicious occasion of this anniversary to call on Nigerians, especially good people of Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje and Moba in Ekiti State, to continue to support both the Federal and State Governments in their sincere commitment to re-engineer the nation for a better future for all.
While wishing Nigerians a happy 65th independence anniversary, the Ikosu Ekiti born Honorable Akinlayo prayed for God’s continued mercy and grace on all leaders in the positions of authority.
