The Commissioner in charge of Project management in the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB), Barrister (Dr.) Kayode Adeoye has described the re -election Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as a well-deserved reward for purposeful leadership and people-oriented governance.
Barrister Adeoye in a congratulatory message made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti noted that Oyebanji’s landslide victory in the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election reflected the confidence and trust the people of Ekiti State have in his administration.
According to the SUBEB Commissioner, Oyebanji’s victory was significant as it marked the first time a sitting governor in Ekiti State had successfully won a consecutive second term since the return of democratic rule in 1999.
He expressed confidence that Oyebanji’s second term would bring further development and advance the socio-economic growth of the state.
The SUBEB Commissioner wished Governor Oyebanji a successful tenure and prays for God’s continued guidance and strength for him as he strives further to deliver the desired good governance for the people of Ekiti State.
As declared y INEC on Sunday, the APC polled 319,224 votes, PDP candidate polled 40, 533 votes, and the ADC candidate amassed 12,872 votes.
