President Bola Tinubu on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Adeleke, who was re-elected on Saturday, August 15, arrived at the State House at about 5:20 pm and proceeded straight to the president’s office for the meeting.
The meeting came shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) issued certificate of return to Adeleke.
Adeleke, who contested on the platform of the Accord, secured 511,067 votes to defeat Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, who polled 444,815 votes.
The visit comes days after President Tinubu congratulated Adeleke on his victory and urged him to unite the people of Osun State, regardless of their political choices.
The governor was joined by senior government and campaign officials, including Senator Lere Oyewumi, Sunday Bisi, his Chief of Staff, Akinleye Kazeem, and House of Representatives member Bamidele Salam.
