A member of the House of Assembly representing Moba Constituency One, Honourable Abimbola Solanke has commended Ekiti workers and iiln extension Nigeria for their resilience, acknowledging their pivotal role in the nation’s development.
In a statement commemorating the 2025 International Workers’ Day, Hon. Solanke highlighted the efforts of Governor Biodun Oyebanji ‘s administration to enhancing the welfare of civil servants, particularly the swift approval of the increased minimum wage, prompt payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities, employment of additional teachers into public schools, increment of subventions to the state owned tertiary institutions amongst others.
She urged workers in the state to remain supportive, emphasizing that the economic reforms and BAO shared prosperity agenda would bring about sectoral development in the state.
Hon. Solanke also underscored the importance of collective effort and unity in overcoming the nation’s challenges, encouraging workers to stand in solidarity with the government. at both state and federal levels to enjoy more deliverables.
While calling for support for the Oyebanji and Tinubu Administrations to continue to make life better for workers, the Chairman House Committee on Health and Human Services said the current Administration’s various policies and reforms, particularly, with regards to the welfare to workers, had from the onset indicated that Government this time was prepared to effectively prioritize the place of workers.
Reassuring workers that better days ahead, the state lawmaker extended his best wishes for a successful celebration.
