Just as the Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Ayedatiwa called on Ekiti citizens to rally behind the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji beyond 2026 with an assurance that if reelected he will perform far better in his sectoral development initiatives, the Chairman of Ikole West LCDA has expressed confidence that the Governor will emerge winner at both the October 27 primary and next year guber poll.
Ayedatiwa had sought the continual support of citizens at the funeral service pf Late High Chief Olubua Okunola held at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Ikole spoke in Ikole Ekiti, the ceremony which also had Governor Oyebanji in attendance.
The Ondo State Governor commended the road infrastructural revolution of his Ekiti State Counterpart which he noted spread to the axis particularly on the Ikole – Ara- Isinbode road, Ikole – Isaba- Ikoyi- Igbemo Ekiti road.
He stressed the importance of supporting Governor Oyebanji, whom he described as a divine blessing guiding the state towards progress and called on Ekiti people to intensify their prayers for peace and success for the Governor till 2030.
Corroborating, the Executive Chairman of Ikole West LCDA, Honourable (Mrs) Mosunmola Adeyemo said Governor Oyebanji deserves another term in office assessing his various sectoral development initiatives as encapsulated in the 6-pillars of his administration
Honourable Adeyemo said Ikole residents are firmly behind the Ekiti Governor and will ensure the continuity of his administration till year 2030.
According to her, to sustain the good works under BAO leadership, eligible citizens are being sensitized and mobilized to get their Permanent Voter Cards(PVCs) at the deisgnated center along Omuo Express road, Opposite Federal Government College; the turnouts She observed is yielding positive results.
Adeyemo said ” We will continue to mobilize our eligible voters who are yet to get their PVCs to do so without further delay to ensure that Governor Oyebanji continues his deliverables till year 2030.
Speaking on the life and times of High Chief Olubu Okunla, the Ikole West LCDA Chairman described him as a gallant and respected community leader, true representative of Ikole kingdom whose reputation rings bell and worthy of emulation.
In attendance at the funeral ceremony were, the State Head of Service, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Mr. Dayo Apata (SAN); Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Lekan Ogunmoye, members of the Bar and Bench in large numbers and Ikole traditional Chiefs.
