The Olukere of Ikere, Odo-Oja, Ikere local Government, Oba Abdulganiyu Ayodele Obasoyin (Okomolese II) has congratulated Muslims in the Council area, Ekiti State, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, urging them to uphold the virtues of love, peace, and self-discipline exemplified during Ramadan.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday in Ikere-Ekiti, the Monarch emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as a period of thanksgiving, compassion, and unity.
Oba Obasoyin commended the Muslim community in Ikere and Ekiti State for their contributions to both local and state development and as well ensuing harmony and peaceful coexistence among members of other religious faith.
“On behalf of Olukere-in Council, I extend my warmest wishes to Muslims celebrating Eid-el-Fitr. As we mark this auspicious occasion, I urge you all to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan and continue to uphold the values of patience, sacrifice, and mutual understanding. Our community, state and nation need these virtues now more than ever,” Oba Ayodele Obasoyin stated.
The Traditional ruler also called on Muslims and all Nigerians to pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the country, stressing the importance of unity in addressing the nation’s economic and security challenges.

Olukerei wished the Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration, expressing hope that the occasion would bring renewed strength and commitment to fostering unity and national development.
