Over 300 bags of maize have been distributed to farmers of different ethnic groups in the 38 council areas of Ekiti state to boost local food production.
Distributing the stuffs to representatives of the ethnic groups at Fajuyi pavillion in Ado Ekiti, the State capital, the Director General, Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotoso said more largesse are still coming their way.
It was another set of distributions of grains at the instance of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to the local ethnic farmers comprising Ebira, Igbo, Hausa, Tiv, udoma, and Urhobo residents across various councils of the state.
The DG, Community Communications, Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotoso who delivered Governor Oyebanji’s message to the beneficiaries said the Governor desired to see members of the ethnic prosper in the state in tandem with his vision.
She reminded them of the various policies and programs of the Governor cutting across all sectors and their meaningful impacts on them, adding that more initiatives that would suit their stay in Ekitwouldll soon be introduced
Assuring that no one irrespective of age, ethnicity, or political organization would be left behind in the distribution of more palliatives, Mrs. Omotoso sought their support for Oyebanji’s administration to succeed.
The beneficiaries who spoke on behave of others, Mr Abdulhai thanked Governor Oyebanji for embracing all ethnic groups in the state.
