Former Councillors in the All Progressive Congress (APC) from the 177 wards of the state have been challenged to support Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s quest to improve the multi faceted sectors of the state.
This charge came at a meeting held with them at Government House, Ado Ekiti by the Director General Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotosho.
The meeting was attended by former legislators who served during the second term of Former Governor Kayode Fayemi.
The DG Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotoso described them as critical Stakeholders in grassroot politics hence the need for the interface with a view to strengthening the bonds of different political layers and stakeholders in the APC.
Mrs Oso who explained the gains of continuity in government urged them to see themselves as relevant stakeholders in the administration of Governor Oyebanji.
Analysing the impacts of the Governor on the populace, the DG Community communications observed that the popularity of the party will make it retain its position in the helms of affairs of the state.
Mrs Omotosho said the engagement would be continum urging them to keep the spirit of strengthening the party so as to win future elections in the state
The Former Councilors among whom were, Mr Dare Ajayi, Mrs Olabisi Oroko, Folorunso Olawoye lauded the Organizers, saying that the forum was an attestation of their recognition in the present administration and called for more opportunities.
They commended the development strides of Governor Oyebanji which cut across the nooks and crannies of the state and they assured him of their support at all times
