The lawmaker representing Moba Constituency 1 at the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Honorable (Mrs) Abimbola Solanke has distributed food items worth millions of naira and cash to her constituents to celebrate the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The event held at Uniuqe hotel Otun Ekiti was part of Community Engagements of the State Lawmaker with people of the constituency.
The event was well attended by Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the area including, Elder (Hon.) L.A Kolawole-Ward 1 Otun, Elder (Hon.) Faleye- Ward 3 Otun, Elder (Hon.) Olaoye -Osun Ward, Baba Okunomoiyayi of Otun Ward 2, Elder Alaba and Hon. Jolayemi from Osan Ward. Ward Chairmen, Women Leaders from the 5 wards, and some ward Councilors amongst others.
Addressing the people, Hon. Solanke explained that the gesture which is on a routine basis was to put smiles on the faces of residents during this festive season.
She reaffirmed her commitment to effective representation in the State House of Assembly by ensuring that the bills pass in the floor of the house have direct impacts on the lives of the citizens, the people of Moba Constituency 1 in particular.
The Ekiti State House of Assembly Lawmaker, spoke glowingly about the achievements of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in various sector which are evident across board, citing prompt payment of workers salaries, pensions and gratuities, provision of car and housing loans for workers, engagement of youths in crops and livestock productions, reconnection of over 30 communities to the national grid, reconstruction of intra and inter township roads to mention a few.
Honourable Solanke spoke further that market traders, artisans are not left out of the Shared Prosperity strategy of Governor Oyebanji with an assurance that Ekiti people in Year 2025 will enjoy more goodies under the present administration.
She called on the people of Moba Constituency 1 to support the continuity drive of Governor Oyebanji till year 2030.
Expressing gratitude for the lawmaker’s generosity, some beneficiaries who spoke at the event lauded Solanke’s gesture, describing it as unprecedented.
“We urge everybody who is in a position of authority to govern well, knowing that you have people looking up to you for survival, because when you feel that the pocket is for you alone, the people will be crying. “But if you consider the masses like our Hon. Abimbola Solanke is doing, everyone will smile and our country Nigeria will be good. We appreciate the kind gesture of the lawmaker, and we pray that God grants her heart’s desires.”
Chanting ”No Vacancy at Ekiti State Government House” those at the occasion passed a vote of confidence on Governor Biodun Oyebanji and declared their support for his administration till year 2030.
They also promised to continue to preach the gospel of BAO’s continuity to all the nooks and crannies of Moba land, while assuring that APC will retain the seat of power in the 2026 Gubernatorial election.
