As Lovers world over celebrates this year’s Valentine’s day, the Chairman of Ijero local government area, Honorable Chief Julius Abayomi Folowosele, has urged adolescents, especially young girls, to celebrate the day responsibly.
In a heartfelt message, Folowsele encouraged youths to avoid risky behaviours, stay in safe environments, and seek guidance when in doubt, noting that true love starts with self-care and making healthy choices.
The Ijero council boss warned against the dangers of unsafe sexual practices and gender-based violence, urging adolescents to protect themselves.
“Love should uplift and empower you, not put you at risk,” He emphasized, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of the Girl-Child.
Honorable Folowosele wished all residents of Ijero local government and Ekiti State in general a happy and safe Valentine’s Day while encouraging them to celebrate with wisdom, self-respect, and confidence in making informed decisions for a bright and healthy future.
