The Executive Chairman, Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB), Professor Femi Akinwumi has urged all Public and Private Primary School Teachers in the state to grab the opportunity of the Ongoing INEC Continuous Voters Registration(CVR) exercise to register, update and collect their Permanent Voters Card just as the 2026 Governorship election approaches in the State.
Professor Akinwumi in a Statement made available to theReportersNG described the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State as pivotal to sustainable delivery of good governance under the leadership of Goveror Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji(BAO), called on voters who may have lost or misplaced their cards including those whose cards are defaced to get new ones.
The SUBEB boss said the Permanent Voters Card(PVC) remains the only tool to enable eligible voters exercise their franchise on election, calling on all teachers to use the opportunity of this holiday period to update their PVCs and remain firm to ensure the continuity of Governor Oyebanji’s administration till 2030.
Saying tremendous progress had been recorded in the education sector under the present government, Professor Akinwumi posited that for the good works to continue there is the need for all and sundry including teachers and parents to support Oyebanji progressives drive.
Professor Akinwumi said ”As we approach upcoming elections, it is crucial that we exercise our right to vote and shape the future of our state and nation. Your PVC is your power, and it is essential that you use it to make your voice heard.”
