A federal lawmaker representing Ekiti North federal constituency one at the House of Representatives in Abuja, Honourable Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in his constituency, Ekiti State and Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.
He noted that the Maulud celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of living in peace and harmony, adding that the Prophet’s life is a timeless model for humanity.
The lawmaker enjoined Muslim ummah to live within the virtues and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which are; love, courage and perseverance.
Akinlayo in a congratulatory statement made available to newsmen said that living within the teachings of the Prophet would guarantee enduring peace, stability and the desired development and progress needed in the state of the virtuous.
“It is in the atmosphere of peace that development can take place, we must all strive to emulate the teachings of the Prophet, by so doing we will be allowing peace in all facets of our lives and a better Ekiti State and Nigeria.”
