A member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly representing Moba constituency One, Honourable (Mrs) Abimbola Solanke has felicitated Muslim faithful on the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
In her Eid-el-Maulud message, Solanke encouraged the Muslim ummah, and humanity in general, to always emulate the Prophet’s exemplary character through acts of kindness, compassion, and devotion to Allah.
The lawmaker, who represents Moba Constituency 1 in the State Assembly on Tuesday, urged Nigerians, particularly indigenes and residents of the state, to foster community unity, which was inspired by the Prophet.
”Our dear people of Moba land and Ekiti state, please note that our country will become a place we will all admire if we use the opportunities provided by Eid-el-Maulud to reflect on the spiritual essence of the Prophet’s life, his teachings, and virtues,” the state lawmaker said.
Honourable Solanke prayed for Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), President Bola Tinubu, and APC leaders others across the country, that Almighty Allah will continue to guide them in making decisions and executing policies that will serve the people’s best interests.
Urging Muslims in Moba, Ekiti and elsewhere to use the day to pray for the peace, stability, and development of the state and Nigeria, She preached peace, saying that it is one of the virtues of the Prophet.
“It is only when there is peace in our communities that there can be development. In the build-up to another political cycle in Nigeria, therefore, we must conduct our activities in a manner that will promote good living and citizenship and as well ensure the continuity of President ‘s administration till 2031,” She added.
The lawmaker also enjoined the people of the state to imbibe the spirit of righteousness, for which the Prophet was reputed, in all of their conduct.
