The Senate Spokesman and Chairman , Senate Committee on Youth ans Sports Development, Yemi Adaramodu has commended Ekiti State Governor Oyebanji’s decision and fulfillment of promise to renovate the state’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp at Ise/Emure, Emure Ekiti.
Adaramodu who represents Ekiti South Senatorial District at the Red chamber said the ongoing comprehensive renovation of the facilities at the camp at the instance of the instance was a welcome which other Governors should also embrace.
Speaking with State House Correspondents, Senator Adaramodu said the development would improve orientation quality, protect the health of young graduates, and reinforce the scheme’s role in bridging Nigeria’s ethnic and regional divides.
He said NYSC Scheme had been in existence since 1973 remained a veritable platform where Nigerian adults meet and mix to foster cross- cultural understanding and unity.
According to him, members of the Senate Committee on Youths and Sports development which he chaired were in Ekiti State last year and met with the Governor who in his magnanimity addressed an urgent sanitary facilities in the Orientation camp as stated by State Coordinator of the NYSC and now bringing on board a new outlook at the camp with the ongoing infrastructural upgrade.
He said ” for Governor Biodun Oyebanji to be the state Governor is commendable by Ekiti people, the National Assembly, teeming Nigerian Youths and me personally as a Son of the soil from Ekiti State and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I feel very proud of him, building a conducive environment for our Corps members and future leaders of this country.”
“On behalf of the Committee I steer in the National Assembly and teeming Nigerian Youths that are going to be the beneficiaries, I have kudos to the Governor, because this is my second term of Chairing this committee at the 9th Assembly, I was in the House of Representatives as the Chairman House Committee on Youths development; the position which I still retain in the Senate by providence and support of my people.

He added that “I had been known for effective performance since when I was a local government Chairman, Chief of Staff to the Governor, a member of the House of Representatives and now at the Senate. That is my personal character and Ekiti people know me for that.”
Senator Adaramodu promised to redouble his performances across-board as the race for continuity in the National Assembly gathers momentum.
