As Ekiti State celebrates 30 years of its creation, the Managing Director of T. Pumpy Concept, Dr. Akintayo Adaralegbe, has called for a stronger focus on human capital development, saying the future prosperity of the state depends largely on the quality and capacity of its people.
Adaralegbe, an indigene of Iloro-Ekiti, also commended the vision and sacrifices of the founding fathers of the state, noting that Ekiti had made significant strides in various sectors since its creation three decades ago.
Speaking on the state’s development trajectory, the estate developer said the progress recorded in infrastructure was commendable but stressed that greater investment in human development was needed to sustain and deepen the gains.
“We are having infrastructural development gradually, but human development will take us farther than this,” he said.
Adaralegbe during an Online Television interview explained that his decision to establish a branch of T. Pumpy Concept in Ekiti was motivated by his desire to contribute to the state’s urban renewal programme and infrastructural expansion.
He said the company was among the first estate development firms to secure approval from the state government to operate in the sector, adding that the firm had deliberately prioritised the employment of Ekiti indigenes.
“I think I was the first estate developer that got the state government’s approval in Ekiti, and I am glad to tell you that everyone who works with me is from Ekiti State,” he said.
The T. Pumpy Concept boss further described the relationship between his company and its Ekiti customers as cordial, attributing the positive partnership to transparency and accountability in its financial dealings.
He pledged that his commitment to the development of Ekiti would continue to extend beyond real estate, disclosing plans to establish a charity home in the state within the next few months.
According to him, the initiative is part of his broader commitment to human development and improving the welfare of vulnerable members of society.
Adaralegbe, who congratulated Ekiti people at home and abroad on the 30th anniversary of the state, expressed confidence that the next 30 years would bring greater opportunities, prosperity and sustainable development.
He urged Ekiti indigenes in Nigeria and the diaspora to remain committed to the growth of the state, stressing that the collective contribution of the people remained crucial to building the Ekiti of their aspirations.
