An Ikogosi Ekiti born Business Mogul, and Managing Director of Elephant Group Plc, Prince Adetunji Owoeye(FCA) has called for peaceful coexistence and unity of purpose among indigenes of the town for rapid industrial growth of the community.
Addressing Journalists at the 2024 Annual Ikogosi Day Celebration and launching of N1 billion naira development projects, held at Giriwa Playing ground, Mustard Seed, Ikogosi Ekiti, Prince Owoeye noted that the community had witnessed significant improvement in terms of socio economic development, adding that these became expedient through bound of love shared by the community people.
The annual celebration which reunites indigenes of the town both home and in the diaspora was witnessed by the Governor of Ekiti State and indigene, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, wife-Dr Abiodun Oyebanji, Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye, Royal fathers who included the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, top government functionaries, politicians, heads of financial firms amongst others.
He appreciated the Regent, Princess Omobola Adepoju, Chiefs and particularly, Governor Oyebanji and other meaning individuals stressing that they are partners in the development quest of Ikogosi Ekiti. He however urged them to entrench the spirit of unity that Ikogosi descendant is known for to ease development.
Prince Tunji Owoeye who is also the Chairman Board of Trustees, National Cashew Association of Nigeria (NCAN) and currently Chairman, Rice importers Millers, Distributors Association of Nigeria (RIMIDAN), Chairman, Farm inputs Suppliers association of Nigeria felicitates with all sons and daughters of Ikogosi Ekiti and called on them to contribute their quota towards the development of the community
He promised to continue to join hands with Governor Oyebanji and other notables people to influence more development projects to Ikogosi Ekiti.
