The Executive Chairman of Ijero local government Council, Honorable (Chief) Abayomi Folowosele has assured people of the area of more dividends of democracy from his administration, that of Governor Biodun Oyebanji and President Bola Tinubu at the Federal level.
In an exclusive interview with theReportesNG on Saturday, Honorable Folowosele who welcomed Ijero residents to the new month of February 2025 said the new month portends greater achievements and blessings for the people.
The Ijero council boss who x-rayed his achievements in the last 13 months of steering the chairmanship position, said the initiatives were poised to further complement the six cardinal programmes of Governor Biodun Oyebanji at the local level.
He assures of more development project across the towns that made up the local council in tandem with the Shared Prosperity mantra of the present administration. ”As the elders would say in my language ‘Oku ni ibon ro,’ therefore, expect more from us as you continue to support us in prayers to be able to serve you better. We promise you again as we did before that we will not fail you nor disappoint your expectations of us, God help us,” Folowosele said.
Hon. Folowosele, a one time member of Ekiti State Executives of the All Progressives Congress(APC) explained that the party will continue to deliver on all its mandate with all sectors touched, while urging Ekiti people to continue to support Governor Oyebanji in his quest to grow the state economy.
He highlighted some areas that will receive government’s attention this year to include, the reconstruction of 15km Awo-Ara-Ijero road, 1.5 IJero township road, , rehabilitation of 36.8km Itawure/Okemesi/Ijero road, while other sectors like education, agriculture, health, water and sanitation amongst others will also receive a boost.
Speaking further, the council boss described February as the month of love, and called on well meaning individuals to extend their hands of fellowship to the less privilege in the society
Thanking traditional rulers, party leaders and members, leaders of various groups and associations as well as other residents for their supports thus far, Chief Folowosele sought for their continuous support to enjoy more goodies from the present government across the three tiers.
