The first female Speaker of Ekiti state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba FCA, has congratulated Dr John Kayode Fayemi, former Governor of Ekiti State on the occasion of his Diamond jubilee anniversary.
In a congratulatory message issued in Ado Ekiti on Friday Adelugba extols Ex-Governor Fayemi’s virtue of simplicity, foresightedness and determination in pursuit of a greater Ekiti that works for all during his tenure as Governor between 2010-2014 and 2018-2022.
“Your Excellency, you represent the torchlight that illuminates our paths. your leadership traits cannot be under-estimated no wonder mentees under your tutelage have grown up and become strong with excellence performance display in different capacities.” said Adelugba
She added that “Ekiti kete enjoyed your good governance, economic equality, real and sustainable development across sectors during Fayemi tenure, the legacy She noted our indefatigable Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji(BAO) is building upon in all facets in realization of His Shared Prosperity Agenda. The move She noted will take Ekiti to the global map in terms of sectoral development under BAO administration.
Mrs Adelugba who served as State Commissioner for Labour, Productivity and Human Capital Development and Special Adviser, Revenue Matters and Taxation during Governor Fayemi’s tenure, thanked him for the choice of Governor Biodun Oyebanji -BAO as His Successor, saying the present administration have really done well in all areas including road infrastructure, educational development and agricultural interventions, empowerment initiatives, healthcare intervention among others.
She prayed to God in His infinite mercy to continue to strengthen him and also seek greater fulfilments and accomplishments for the former Governor, praying he finds peace and joy in all that concerns him.
