The Olukere of Ikere, Odo Oja, Ikere local government, Oba Ayodele OBASOYIN has felicitated with the immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr John Kayode Fayemi on the occasion of his 60th birthday anniversary celebration.
In a congratulatory message contained in a statement made available to journalists, Olukere described Fayemi as a quintessential strategist, scholar, pro democracy activist and a politician per excellence.
“I, Oba Abdulganiyu Ayodele OBASOYIN (Okomolese II) join millions of Nigerians to celebrate an outstanding politician who is globally recognized for his academic excellence and right activism.”
The traditional ruler said Fayemi elevated good governance narrative in Ekiti State before leaving office and his footprints remain indelible through his developmental programmes across the nooks and crannies of the state which made him the first government to produce a successor from his party in the anals of Ekiti history.
Olukere acknowledged and appreciated the former Governor for supporting the continuity of BAO administration in the state till year 2030, saying Oyebanji’s feats across multifaceted sectors speak volume.
The Monarch prayed for the immediate past Governor, saying, “as a man of peace, and good in all ramifications, may your Diamond Jubilee take you to higher places and continue to make you a shinning light in the midst of your peers.”
“The peace and goodness, which you left behind on October 16, 2022, are bearing fruits for the good and development of Ekiti State.
“May God bless your new age more abundantly with long life and prosperity Insha Allah, Amen”, the Monarch prayed.
