The Member of the House of Representatives in Abuja, Honourable Davidson Akinlayo, has enjoined Muslim faithful to remain steadfast to the lessons learnt during the holy month of Ramadan.
Akinlayo who represents Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2 in the Green chamber stated this in his message of felicitations to Muslims as they celebrate the 2024 Eid-el-Fitri Sallah, which marks the end of the one-month Ramadan fasting.
The lawmaker emphasized the importance for Muslims to also uphold the tenets of Islam by exhibiting the fear of God and showing piety in their daily work.
Honourable Akinlayo said, ”We must all continue in the good attributes imbibed during the holy month of Ramadan as directed by God through His Prophet, so as to ensure peace, unity and harmony in the society for a better future.”
While praying that the essence of the festival offers them happiness, peace and prosperity in all aspects of life, the federal lawmaker acknowledges the support given him by Muslim community in Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje and Moba local government areas of Ekiti State promising not to let them down in delivering the dividends of democracy to them accordinly.
He also assured them of effective representation in the house of representatives by initiating appropriate bills that will better their lives and as well bring socio-economic and infrastructural development to the constituency.
Honourable Akinlayo- a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), charged his constituents to remain unwavering and steadfast in their commitment and positive contributions to advance the development of Ekiti State under the leadership of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji(BAO) and President Bola Tinubu led- federal Government.
He wished the Muslim faithful in the State and across the country a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
