A lawmaker representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency One in the House of Representatives, Abuja, Honorable Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo(MHR) has felicitated with Christians in his constituency, Ekiti state and Nigeria at large especially on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
In a statement issued to journalists, Honorable Akinlayo, said Easter symbolizes enduring values of love, sacrifice, compassion, unity, and the victory of good over evil.
The federal lawmaker added that it serves as a timeless reminder of the profound sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for the betterment of humanity and the eternal legacy he imparted.
He urged Nigerians to take time to reflect deeply on their faith, unite for the progress of the nation, and extend a helping hand to one another in upholding principles of goodness and justice.
Akinlayo who represents the people of Moba, Ido/Osi and Ilejemeje at the House of Representatives also called on the faithful to use the period to pray for continued tranquility and stability of the constituency, Ekiti state as well as the country in general.
“As we commemorate this significant occasion, let us take time to reflect deeply on our faith, unite for the progress of our nation, and extend a helping hand to one another in upholding principles of goodness and justice.
“I urge everyone to remember our federal constituency and Nigeria in prayer. May God bring peace, security, and ease to our land.
While wishing the Christian faithful peaceful and joyous Easter celebrations, Honorable Akinlayo urged the clergies to use the occasion to preach forbearance, tranquillity and good neighbourliness amongst the diverse people.
Akinlayo promised his constituents to continue to represent them well in the green chamber with bills that will facilitate more socio economic and infrastructural development to the area with improved living standards.
