As INEC Continuous Voters Registration exercise entered day three nationwide, a member of Ekiti State House of Assembly, representing Moba Constituency 1, Honourable Abimbola Solanke has called on citizens of voting age in Moba local government and LCDA as well Ekiti State in general to come out enmasse and participate fully in the registration exercise.
Speaking with theReportersNG at Otun Ekiti while monitoring the turn out of resident said the exercise is meant for those who loss their permanent voters card (PVC), want transfer of PVC as well as people with defaced PVC.
The Ekiti lawmaker encouraged young people who have just turned 18 and those who are yet to register to seize the opportunity to be party of the exercise.
“It is important that we prove our love for our dear local government at this time, especially for those who have just turned 18, those who are yet to register, and those who lost or damaged their cards. The exercise also provides an opportunity for those wishing to change their polling units within their wards.”
Re-emphasizing the need for mass participation, Solanke urged all indigenes and residents of Moba Constituency One, both at home and in the diaspora, to obtain their voter’s card even as he noted that INEC has improved its technology by using the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), ensuring “one man, one vote.”
Honourable Abimbola sought more support for the Oyebanji’s administration which has improve the state in all sectors, saying there is need to sustain the shared prosperity mantra till 2030.
